Dwarves
Dwarves.
Dwarves (plural: dwarfs or dwarves) are supernatural beings rooted in Germanic mythology. Traditionally, they are depicted as skilled craftsmen and miners, often residing in mountains or underground. Early accounts primarily refer to male dwarves, although later sources acknowledge the existence of female dwarves as well. Their physical stature is often associated with being short, but this characteristic is not universally emphasized in earlier texts.
In modern literature, particularly through J.R.R. Tolkien’s works, dwarves are portrayed as a distinct race with rich cultural backgrounds. They are known as the Khazâd in their own language and are characterized by their craftsmanship, particularly in mining and metalwork.
