Yeti

The Yeti, often referred to as the “Abominable Snowman,” is a legendary creature from the folklore of the Himalayas, particularly in Nepal, India, Bhutan, and Tibet. It is typically depicted as an anthropomorphic being resembling a large ape. Despite numerous sightings and stories, the scientific community largely regards the Yeti as a mythological figure due to the lack of physical evidence supporting its existence.

Some theories suggest that the Yeti may have originated from misinterpretations of fossils of ancient primates, such as the Gigantopithecus, by local populations unfamiliar with scientific explanations.
